Incredible Sunset Shots In Alaska

Alaska offers some amazing sunsets. Even though the summer months offer long days, the sun still sets in the lower part of the state. When the sun goes down we still have these amazing sunsets, but it just never really gets dark out before the sun comes back up.

Here are some amazing sunset pictures from our friends at Blue Ice Alaska!

Sunset over Cook Inlet, Alaska. "Another beautiful sunset in Cook Inlet, Alaska. Mount Redoubt, 9,150 ft (2,700 m), is on the right and Mount Iliamna ,10,016 ft (3,053 m) is on the left. Both mountains are volcanos in the Chigmit Mountain subrange and both are in the north end of the Aleutian volcanic arc. Mt. Redoubt is an active volcano and although Mount Iliamna produces steam plumes its has not erupted for many, many years but radiocarbon dating indicates past eruptions."
